Entry Requirements: Typically, applicants will have one of the following:
Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in a related subject
Level 3 Apprenticeship
2 A Levels: A-D (one of which should be Maths or Science related). Additionally, 3 GCSEs at grade A-C (9-4), including English and Maths (or equivalent).
You will also be required to attend an interview with the Programme Leader.
Mature applicants without formal qualifications, but with evidence of sufficient, relevant industrial experience may be considered.

The Foundation degree will prepare the student for a specialist role as a Network Engineer. On successful completion the candidate may progress to Level 6 BSc (Hons) in Digital & Technology Solutions (subject to validation) gaining a Degree Apprenticeship as a Digital and Technology Solutions Professional.
This specialist pathway will include computer architecture, covering elements of design and build of a network, including wireless devices, network protocols and the potential failure of these. Students will learn about security risks, and products and processes to ensure dependability.
Use and maintenance of service including estimated traffic, and load, analysis and improvement of network performance and troubleshooting of issues will be covered within the syllabus.
After successful completion of this course you can progress on to the BSc (Hons) in Digital & Technology Solutions (Subject to validation).
