Electrical and Electronic Engineering for England (Top-Up) HND HTQ (Part-Time)
The goal of this qualification is to prepare students to become professional and self-reflective individuals who can meet the needs of employers in the engineering sector and adapt to a constantly evolving world. These qualifications aim to broaden access to higher education and improve the career prospects of those who pursue them. The objectives of these qualifications are to:
Equip students with the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary to excel in the engineering and manufacturing environment.
Develop students with inquisitive minds who possess the abilities and confidence to work across various engineering functions, lead, manage, adapt to change, and address a range of complex engineering challenges.
Provide the essential core skills required for a variety of engineering careers, particularly in electrical and electronic engineering.
Offer a balance between employability skills and the critical knowledge needed for students with entrepreneurial, employment, or academic goals.
Enhance students' understanding of the significant impact that new digital and software technologies have on the engineering field.
Provide insights into electrical and electronic engineering operations, highlighting the opportunities and challenges of a global marketplace.
Equip students with knowledge and understanding of culturally diverse organizations, cross-cultural issues, diversity, and values.

Entry requirements
1-year HND top up from HNC
A HNC in Engineering with 120 credits
English Language requirements
If your first language is not English, we accept IELTS (Academic) at grade 6 overall with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking)

You will be invited to a discussion with the Programme Leader
International applicants
We require evidence of international qualifications at point of application. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to consider applicants that require a Student Visa to study in the UK.
Future career and study opportunities
The Level 4 Higher National Certificate provides a solid grounding on which students can build should they decide to continue their studies beyond the Certificate stage. On successful completion of the Level 4 Higher National Certificate, students can develop their careers in the sector through:
