To gain the BTEC Level 4 HNC in Manufacturing Engineering for England, students complete a minimum of 120 credits across both Core and Specialist Mandatory units which include:

a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Electronic Engineering
a GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a relevant
subject or adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to C (or equivalent) 9 to 4 (or equivalent) in subjects such as Mathematics and English
other related Level 3 qualifications
an Access to Higher Education Diploma from an approved further education institution
an international equivalent to the above qualifications

English Language requirements
If your first language is not English, we accept IELTS (Academic) at grade 6 overall with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking)

We require evidence of international qualifications at point of application. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to consider applicants that require a Student Visa to study in the UK.
Students will benefit from small-group teaching, one-to-one support, and guidance from lecturers with substantial industry and academic experience. Each module is supported by a Module Handbook that outlines key content, assessment requirements, and reading lists.
Learning is designed to be collaborative and engaging, with a focus on developing the confidence to apply theory to practice. Educational visits, guest speakers, and project-based assessments help to bridge the gap between study and employment, ensuring students graduate with both technical ability and professional readiness.
Assessment is carried out through a combination of written assignments, project work, presentations and practical tasks. There are no formal written exams. Students are encouraged to relate assessments to their professional experience or workplace projects wherever possible, ensuring learning remains relevant and applied.
