Entry Requirements: Individual employers will set their own requirements for their Apprentices. Typically an apprentice will be expected to have achieved at least 5 GCSEs at Grades A*-C including Maths (Grade B), English and Science or their equivalent. Apprentices without level 2 English and Maths will need to have achieve this prior to taking the end point assessment.

Course Overview:
This course is for individuals wanting to begin a career within the Civil Engineering industry. A Civil Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineers and other construction professionals in the design, development, construction, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of the built environment and infrastructure.
The course consists of 10 units, 7 mandatory units and 3 optional units. Apprentices will achieve a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Civil Engineering qualification.
Outcome/Achievement:
You can progress onto a higher level Civil Engineering Qualification (HND) and higher level apprenticeship
